Dedicated to the Polaroid SX-70 and similar cameras, this MiNT Lens Set from Polaroid Originals includes a custom-fit lens/filter holder, three filters, and two conversion lenses for adjusting the look and gaining more control over your instant film photos. The holder features a matte black finish and is designed to comfortably fit over the front of Polaroid cameras while still allowing access to all the camera controls and shutter release button. The holder then enables the use of the included filters and conversion lenses for creatively refining your photographs and expanding the range of ways you can work with your Polaroid.
The filters included are a blue 80B, a yellow K2, and a solid neutral density filter; each of which are constructed from glass and designed to compensate for common issues when working with select Polaroid films or film-camera combinations. The 80B is designed to be used with color film and corrects the excessive reddish cast you can get when working under tungsten-balanced light. The K2 filter works with black & white film, and helps to increase overall contrast and darken blue tones in the image. The solid neutral density filter reduces the exposure by approximately 2.5 stops and is specifically designed to enable working with 600-type films in an SX-70 camera, and can also be used when working in generally bright conditions.
In addition to the corrective filters, this set also includes a pair of conversion lenses to produce either a wider field of view or a shorter minimum focusing distance. The full-frame fisheye lens creates a distinctly distorted look with a very wide field of view, and is ideal for creative applications or exaggerating the perspective. Contrasting the wide fisheye lens is the close-up lens, which cuts the standard 10" minimum focusing distance in half to allow you to photographs subjects just 5" away. With the closer working distance, it is easier to utilize shallow depth of field techniques and gain increased detail when photographing nearby subjects.
