The 23 x 69" Indirect Litemotiv Strip Softbox from Elinchrom is a specialty modifier fully capable of outputting soft, flattering light; and does so in a confined, narrow 1:5 ratio beam angle. It can be used as your primary light source, but this softbox is really useful for separating a subject from a background without spilling light all over it. Since it rotates 360 degrees, it is also a handy modifier for lighting a cyc or background, especially if you're creating a gradient wash of light. The strip is also great up on a boom or as a hairlight for a large group, especially given the length.
Called Indirect because of how its rear-firing design softens the light output, the Litemotiv Strip boasts an edge to edge brightness without hotspots, yet can take the heat when it has to. The black-backed silver reflective material is rated for lamps up to 650W, and the unique folding system allows you to quickly break it down for transport or storage. Each Leitmotiv comes with both a front and interior diffuser, as well as a quality made carrying case.
The Litemotiv Strip can be used with Elinchrom or Profoto flash heads with separate purchase of an adapter.
